Easy Restaurant 1645 Queen st West, Toronto
A hip and happening little restaurant tucked away at the end of Queen st West Toronto. When we arrived a pleasant and smiling server showed us to our table while the rest of the restaurant was filled with lunch time customers. The walls were decorated with older stye movie posters. A well set our restaurant with the kitchen behind the servers table but open enough you could see the chefs at work. The menu was filled with delicious goodies including traditional all day breakfast, omlettes, all day lunch and meals for the sweet tooth.
The Restaurant |
Belgian Gluten Free Mini Waffles |
Above is the Belgian Mini waffles. Multigrain waffles with fruit compote, fresh berries, real maple syrup, real whipped cream and dusted with cinnamon sugar:
The waffles were made to perfection. They were light and fluffy (normally I would find Gluten free products dense and a little hard at time). The fruit compote was delicious and sweet however the small portion of sauce underneath could have been more. Nothing like a little extra sauce. The maple syrup was 100% Canadian and delicious as always.
Breakfast Tacos with added Chiptole Chicken:
3 Corn tortillas with scrambled eggs, fried black beans, red onion, poblano peppers, chipotle salsa and monterey jack cheek. Comes with lime wedges and sour cream.
The tacos were spice and satisfying surrounded by a warm corn tortilla. The tortilla was filled with flavour and the cheese suttee mixed with blackbeans enriched the mouth with a smooth and melt in your mouth texture. The chicken was a combination of moist and dry with the dry pieces letting the succulent nature of juicy chicken bringing the quality of the tortilla down slightly. Extra lime and sour creak added to the flavour in what was all in all a tasty little treat.
